Assistant Accountant

• Assist in the monthly, semi-annual, and annual closing process, ensuring accurate financial reporting
• Prepare, monitor, and reconcile accounting entries, including balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Issue and process invoices, monitor receivables and payables, and perform periodic reconciliations
• Monitor Key Accounts Payable and perform periodic reconciliations on suppliers' balances
• Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, financial reports, and payment orders while liaising with internal departments
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency in accounting tasks, meeting tight deadlines when required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Very good knowledge of accounting principles, General Chart of Accounts, and general ledger functions, including month-end and year-end close processes
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong commitment to deadlines, ability to work under pressure, excellent communication skills, and a teamwork mentality with attention to detail
• Completed military obligations (where applicable)

Knowledge of SAP will be considered as an asset
