We are seeking a competent and motivated Electrical Installations Assessor to join our wonderful college. The successful candidate will manage and support a caseload of apprentices, guiding them through their NVQ qualification, portfolio development, and End Point Assessment, while maintaining strong employer relationships and high standards of quality and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a caseload of Electrical Installation apprentices, supporting them through their NVQ qualification and portfolio development
Conduct workplace assessments and deliver classroom-based support where required, monitoring, reviewing, and recording apprentice progress in line with awarding body and college requirements
Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with employers to support apprentice development and to help progress full-time learners into apprenticeships
Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and records, working closely with Apprentice Coaches and curriculum teams to ensure timely achievement and completion of qualifications
Keep up to date with current industry standards, awarding body requirements, and Health & Safety legislation, continually developing personal professional expertise and contributing to business development initiatives where appropriate
Prepare and guide apprentices through End Point Assessment (EPA), ensuring they are fully ready and confident to achieve successful outcomes
Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative mindset, working effectively as part of a wider team to support learner success
Adhere to and actively promote the College’s policies and practices, including Safeguarding, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, College Values, and Health & Safety
Undertake any other reasonable duties associated with the role, as determined by the College
Requirements:
Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent 2391 qualification in testing and inspection
Level 3 NVQ in electrical installation AM2/ Am2s
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent or will achieve
Substantial, relevant industry experience
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use or the means to be able to get to locations covering Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties
