Job Responsibility:
Perform assembly operations using various hand tools and power tools to build products according to specifications and blueprints
Inspect parts and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and identify any defects immediately
Follow all health and safety regulations, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots and safety glasses at all times
Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for yourself and your team
Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift to keep the production line moving smoothly
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production quotas and deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Troubleshoot basic assembly issues and report any mechanical malfunctions to the maintenance team or supervisor
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new assembly procedures and safety protocols
Document production numbers and complete necessary paperwork to track inventory and workflow progress
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in a manufacturing plant or similar industrial environment
Demonstrated experience using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for the duration of the shift
CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots are required to work on the production floor
Reliable transportation to the Brantford area to ensure consistent attendance
A positive attitude and a strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and quality
Nice to have:
Flexibility to work overtime if required by production demands is an asset
