Job Description:

Teaching Assistant role supporting children with Speech, Language, and Communication needs in a mainstream primary school. Long-term contract from September 2025.

Job Responsibility:

Take part and lead specialist interventions in Lego Therapy, Speech and Language, Zones of Regulation
Work closely with specialist Teachers, Therapists & Psychologists
Support primary aged pupils with various needs
Receive training
Support various students inside and outside of classrooms

Requirements:

A graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 – subject isn’t a barrier, ideally from a reputable university
Good A-Levels and GCSEs – including English at GCSE
Previous experience supporting children, young people or adolescents – Essential
tutoring, nannying, babysitting, volunteering or personal experience
A genuine passion for supporting young people with barriers to learning
An inquisitive, warm and nurturing personality
Must be able to speak confidently and calmly – personality is everything in these roles
