Job Description:

Citi Private Bank's Art Advisory team provides personalized acquisition and selling strategies, as well as collection management services, tailored to ultra-high net worth clients and governed by legal and fiduciary standards. Strategic professional role requiring expertise in art markets, client management, risk analysis, governance, and collaboration across the Citi network.

Job Responsibility:

assist clients globally with art collecting activities: buying, selling and professional collections management
advise clients on art acquisitions and sales to maximize quality and value
act as a representative for Art Advisory in the art market
maintain regular contact with clients and art market sources
prepare market analysis to determine appropriate price level
handle restoration, shipping, insurance, installation, loans to exhibitions, publicity, or consignment for sale
ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
perform governance, reporting, and risk management duties
coordinate and promote Art Advisory with business heads and bankers
write client-focused art market updates and historical articles
support the Art Finance team with valuation and inspection of collateral

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in the art market
proven business development skills and experience
degree in Art History
expertise and responsibility equivalent to senior specialist at auction house or Senior Director at major gallery
expertise in Impressionist & Modern Art, or Postwar & Contemporary art, or both
foreign languages and international experience a plus
