Great opportunity for an Architect with experience of designing and building Data Platforms to join a leading FinTech business in Manchester at the beginning of a major modernisation of its data landscape. The business is investing heavily in next-generation cloud and data capabilities, with a strong commitment to best-in-class governance, innovation, and secure data access across the organisation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Help shape and evolve the architectural roadmap for a rapidly scaling data platform
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and being hands-on to help build out POCs

Requirements:

  • Proven experience architecting and scaling Snowflake-based data platforms in Azure
  • Strong understanding of modern data architectures (Data Mesh, Fabric, Lakehouse, ELT)
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DCAM)
  • Hands-on IaC experience in Azure (Terraform)
  • CI/CD pipeline implementation
  • Strong communicator with experience in agile, cross-functional delivery
  • Excellent problem-solving, autonomy, and commitment to engineering best practice
  • Collaborative mindset and continuous-learning approach
