The Apps Support Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role requiring in-depth knowledge of industry standards, analytical thinking and data analysis. This role involves collaboration, technical support, and active participation in application maintenance and improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Provides technical and business support for users of Citi applications
utilizes apps support procedures and concepts to field issues and queries from stakeholders
provides short-term resolutions and collaborates on long-term remediation
acts as a liaison between users, internal technology groups and vendors
participates in disaster recovery testing
engages in application releases, testing and deployment
performs post-release checkouts
develops and maintains technical support documentation
analyzes applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities and security issues
cooperates with Development colleagues to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements
actively participates in support projects covering stability, efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
2-5 years experience
basic knowledge or interest about apps support procedures, concepts and of other technical areas
participation in some process improvements
previous experience or interest in standardization of procedures and practices
basic business knowledge/understanding of financial markets and products
knowledge/experience of problem management tools
understanding of how own sub-function integrates within the function and commercial awareness
evaluates situations using multiple sources of information
developed communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence
good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
good knowledge of the business and its technology strategy
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
knowledge of issue tracking and reporting using tools
good all-round team member
effectively shares information with other support team members and other technology teams
ability to plan and organize workload
ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders
Nice to have:
Hadoop/Big Data Platform
knowledge of various Cloudera components including HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark, YARN, Sentry, Oozie, Kafka
hands-on experience in supporting applications built on Hadoop
good understanding of regulatory submission processes and technical support of relevant applications
Linux experience
good SQL experience in RDBMS
experience with scheduling tools like Autosys or CONTROL-M
UNIX shell scripting, Python/PERL
knowledge or working experience with monitoring tools like ITRS Active Console
