The Application Support Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role responsible for technical and business support of Citi Applications. Requires expertise in UNIX, SQL, and tools like ITRS and Autosys. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving application systems within the organization while ensuring stability, quality, and meeting service expectations.
Job Responsibility:
provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applications, including providing quick resolutions to app issues
drives stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements
maintains application systems that have completed the development stage
manages, maintains and supports applications and their operating environments
performs start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover
performs same day risk reconciliations
develops and maintains technical support documentation
identifies ways to maximize potential of applications used
assesses risk and impact of production issues
ensures storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning
formulates and defines scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution
reviews and develops application contingency planning
partners with development and production support areas
participates in application releases from development to production
engages in post-implementation analysis
identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues and communicates impact
defines operating standards and processes
acts as a liaison between users/traders and internal technology groups
raises problems to appropriate teams per SLAs
coaches and trains new recruits
owns and contributes to Support Project items related to stability, efficiency, and effectiveness
Requirements:
8-12 years experience in an Application Support role
strong hands on in UNIX and SQL
expertise on monitoring / batch scheduling tools like ITRS, Autosys, Service NOW
knowledge on any programming language like Java / Python would be added advantage
experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn
advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
demonstrated analytical skills
issue tracking and reporting using tools
knowledge/experience of problem management tools
good all-round technical skills
effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
ability to plan and organize workload
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders
Nice to have:
knowledge on any programming language like Java / Python
willingness/ability to learn new programming languages
