Citi Technology is seeking a highly motivated IT professional to join our Applications Support team. The Applications Support group is responsible for the production environment for a wide range of applications used by Finance, Risk, Compliance and Human Resources functions within the company. The team provides technical support to internal end-users and monitors the health of system's processing across Citi's proprietary applications and tools.
Job Responsibility:
Provide front line support for Citi's proprietary technologies
Hands-on investigation and issue resolution
Incident management
Champion stability initiatives to enable application high availability
Perform controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation
Monitor system processing, infrastructure alerts, batch failures, and recover processes
Communicate effectively with operations, technology, and business partners
Develop comprehensive understanding of how areas of apps support collectively integrate
Interact with software vendors to provide best solutions
Participate in disaster recovery testing
Participate in application releases, testing and deployment
Perform post release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates
Develop and maintain technical support documentation
Assess risk when business decisions are made
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in System Analysis, applications support roles
Working experience with Unix/Linux environment
Knowledge of ETL jobs
Working experience on relational databases - Oracle, Microsoft SQL
Good knowledge in database level analysis to trace issues to closure
Extensive experience in writing complex and efficient SQL DML statements is a plus
Working experience on Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint for documentation, collaboration and workflow tracking is a plus
Working experience in server resource tracking, performance metrics, and file system management using monitoring and analytics tools (e.g. AppDynamics, Autowatch) is desirable
Experience in Incident, Problem Management: Incident tracking & reporting
Managing ticketed query system
ServiceNow knowledge is a plus (ITIL)
Flexibility and adaptability to change work shift schedules
Available to work outside of regular hours or participate in rotational shifts including weekend days coverage
Advanced English
Bachelor's Degree in Comp science, IT, or other engineering disciplines
Nice to have:
Experience with ETL/Database Development tools
Experience in writing complex and efficient SQL DML statements
Working experience on Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint
Working experience with monitoring and analytics tools (AppDynamics, Autowatch)
