Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. The role requires exceptional communication skills across both technology and the business and offers the opportunity to work in a globally distributed and dynamic work environment.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development
establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
provide user and operational support on applications to business users
utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues
provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards
recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage
consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues
recommend advanced programming solutions
install and assist customer exposure systems
ensure essential procedures are followed
define operating standards and processes
serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
operate with a limited level of direct supervision
exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency

Requirements:

8+ years of relevant experience
basic understanding in Banking & Payments systems
intermediate programming knowledge in Java and Spring boot
in-depth working experience in configuring/maintaining the CI/CD pipeline
hands-on experience in Shell/Unix scripting with Python skills
hands-on experience in troubleshooting a Java/micro services based application
hands-on experience in middleware's like Kafka or MQ
hands-on experience in schemeless databases like Mongo or equivalent
hands-on experience in handling the Production Failover and fallback activities
strong experience in automation of Iaas, PaaS, SaaS
hands-on experience either on AWS or Azure or GCP or equivalent clouds
basic hands-on experience in handling Generative AI, predictive analysis tools
strong hands-on experience in Monitoring and Observability tools
strong hands-on experience in creating & maintaining the staging & prod environments
strong experience in containerized tools Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
experience in configuring/maintaining Observability tools like Grafana, Appd, Splunk, Kibana or equivalent tools
experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
experience in managing and implementing successful projects
working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
