Job Description:

The Application Development Senior Manager role involves managing and implementing enterprise-level applications, interacting with stakeholders, ensuring system reliability, and driving innovation. The candidate will work in a globally distributed team and focus on building scalable, secure technologies for Payment platforms.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development
monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
provide user and operational support on applications to business users
utilize specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex issues and provide solutions
recommend and develop security measures during post-implementation analysis
consult with users/clients and other technology groups to recommend advanced programming solutions
ensure essential procedures are followed and help define standards
serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
act as SME to senior stakeholders or team members
demonstrate risk assessment and compliance adherence in decision-making.

Requirements:

8+ years of relevant experience
basic understanding in Banking & Payments systems
intermediate programming knowledge in Java and Spring boot
in-depth working experience in configuring/maintaining the CI/CD pipeline
hands-on experience in Shell/Unix scripting with Python skills
hands-on experience in troubleshooting a Java/microservices based application
hands-on experience in middleware's like Kafka or MQ
hands-on experience in schemeless databases like Mongo or equivalent
hands-on experience in handling the Production Failover and fallback activities
strong experience in automation of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
hands-on experience in AWS or Azure or GCP or equivalent clouds
basic hands-on experience in handling Generative AI, predictive analysis tools
strong hands-on experience in Monitoring and Observability tools
strong hands-on experience in creating & maintaining staging & prod environments
strong experience in containerized tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
experience configuring/maintaining Observability tools like Grafana, Appd, Splunk, Kibana or equivalent tools
experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
experience in managing and implementing successful projects
working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
