Android Engineer

• Shaping Clear Street’s evolving mobile platform
• Contributing to the design and development of our Android application
• Influencing architectural decisions and help set best practices
• Ensuring Android experience meets high standards
• Working closely with Clear Street Studio (product design and research team) and iOS engineers to deliver a cohesive mobile experience
• Partnering with engineering and business stakeholders to design new mobile solutions
• Integrating with backend systems
• Delivering a world-class user experience

• Hands-on professional experience developing and maintaining Android applications with high requirements on performance, usability, and reliability
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Kotlin, and experience with Jetpack Compose and the Android SDK
• Experience integrating apps with REST APIs and collaborating with backend teams
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on design consistency and user experience
• Experience supporting and monitoring production applications using modern tools
• Motivation to learn, curiosity to explore new technologies, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and the technical demands of building financial systems is valued
• Experience mentoring others or leading initiatives is considered an advantage

• CI/CD for mobile (Gradle, Bitrise, GitHub Actions)
• Play Store deployment and release management
• Automated testing (JUnit, Espresso, Compose testing)
• Experience with Clear Street’s technology stack: Golang, Python, Java, React, AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Docker
