WCP is currently looking for an Analyst to join their team, assisting primarily with the management and execution of Valuation and M&A transactions. We are looking for someone curious and analytical to do market research and outreach, valuations, financial modelling, CIM’s, to provide marketing support and proposals for clients of WCP.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the research and preparation of reports for business valuation of private companies
Prepare requests for documents and communicate with clients including correspondence preparation and follow-up
Analyze financial statements and documents
Prepare financial analysis and models
Analyze client financial statements and relevant documentation
Build financial models and confidential information memorandums (CIMs)
Identify, analyze and rank potential buyers
Coordinate with clients during the due diligence process
Assist in managing deal flow
Work on special projects as required
Prepare management presentations, marketing pitches, and other presentations as required
Conduct industry and economic research
Track client, prospect and engagement information in HubSpot
Assist with AI related initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in field related to the position
Pursuing a professional designation (CPA, CBV, CFA, MBA, JD)
Experience in one of the following areas would be an asset: investment or commercial banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, legal, valuation, or an accounting focus (can include internship or co-op positions)
Some experience with financial modeling, including analysis of financial statements and preparation of integrated 3-statement financial models without supervision
Good technical/working knowledge in the following areas: accounting and tax principals
Valuation
Economics
Mergers and acquisitions
Financial modelling
Understanding of financial statements and general accounting principles
Willingness to take ownership of tasks and work both collaboratively or independently in a demanding, fast paced and dynamic work environment
Demonstrated ability to effectively conduct research
Meticulous attention to detail
Conscientiousness towards client needs and requirements
Ability to extract useful information from large sets of unorganized or incomplete data
