Job Description:

The AML Compliance Analyst role is focused on monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and evaluating compliance processes and data to ensure adherence to regulations and standards. The position integrates knowledge of industry practices, promotes best-in-class compliance strategies, and offers opportunities for professional growth within Citi’s global framework.

Job Responsibility:

enhance and implement best-in-class AML Compliance policies and practices
provide expert advice on AML Compliance policies
perform AML Compliance quality and testing
evaluate process deficiencies
analyze control measures
enhance reporting capabilities
recommend corrective actions
assess and identify emerging risks
recommend and drive program enhancements
identify and escalate unusual activity or cases that fail to meet guidelines
advise management on next steps
create and deliver relevant training
appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
drive compliance with laws, rules and regulations
safeguard Citi’s reputation
escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency

Requirements:

1-2 years’ experience in AML
knowledge of AML regulations preferred
proficiency with MS office
verbal/written skills
analytical skills
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
ability to navigate a complex organization
good project management and organizational skills
capability to handle multiple projects at one time
knowledge of the laws applicable to money laundering including the Bank Secrecy Act

US Treasury AML guidelines
OFAC requirements
Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements
knowledge of AML requirements applicable to banks
bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
