Job Description:

As an AM Restaurant Server at Marriott St. Louis Grand, you will serve food and beverages to guests, maintain cleanliness, adhere to quality and safety standards, and provide outstanding service experiences. Job Responsibility:

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
set tables according to type of event and service standards
answer questions on menu selections
communicate meal requirements, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen
maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc.
complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights
present accurate checks to guests and process payment
welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
anticipate and address guests’ service needs
assist individuals with disabilities
ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
ability to lift objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance
ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps
ability to speak with others using clear and professional language
ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
adherence to company safety and security policies

Nice to have:

Experience working in a similar role
familiarity with MICROS system
