We are looking for an Admissions and Communications Coordinator to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This Contract to permanent position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills who can support prospective students and admissions staff through a variety of tasks. The role involves engaging with prospective students, managing inquiries, and assisting in recruitment efforts both on-campus and virtually.
Job Responsibility:
Respond to inquiries from prospective students both online and in person, providing accurate and helpful information
Schedule appointments and qualify potential leads for the admissions team to follow up
Assist in evaluating student inquiries for enrollment in various academic programs
Organize and lead campus tours for prospective students and their families
Maintain and regularly update records of potential students using appropriate tools and systems
Perform reception duties to support admissions walk-ins and manage incoming leads
Actively participate in recruitment efforts, including virtual outreach and on-campus events
Travel occasionally to attend recruitment events, with the possibility of overnight stays
Collaborate with other campus departments as necessary to ensure effective communication
Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by the admissions office.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, including calendar management
Strong skills in handling inbound and outbound calls and addressing inquiries effectively
Ability to maintain organized and accurate records in a detail-oriented setting
Experience or willingness to learn Salesforce for tracking and managing leads
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with prospective students and staff
Ability to work on campus and be present for in-person responsibilities
Flexibility to travel occasionally for recruitment events
Prior experience in a customer service or admissions-related role is a plus.
