The Accounts Payable Supervisor leads and supervises a medium-sized operational/administrative team responsible for accounts payable processes. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, and comprehensive understanding of the entire procure-to-pay cycle within an organization.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and manage an accounts payable unit or medium-sized team
Provide performance evaluation, compensation recommendations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations
Train and onboard new team members
Identify opportunities to improve process efficiencies within accounts payable cycle
Act as Subject Matter Expert for accounts payable to senior stakeholders
Assess risk when making business decisions
Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
Foster positive working relationships with various departments
Requirements:
2-5 years of progressive experience in an accounting role
Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity, preferably within Accounts Payable
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Advanced English proficiency (Portuguese is a plus)
Deep understanding of accounting principles
Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools
Comprehensive understanding of the entire procure-to-pay cycle
