We are currently seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Coordinator for an exciting 10-month contract opportunity in Toronto. Job Responsibility:

  • Full-Cycle Invoice Management: Conduct daily review and verification of all electronic invoices, ensuring Purchase Orders (POs) are accurately matched and updated while proactively resolving any discrepancies with internal departments
  • Payment Processing & Execution: Facilitate the end-to-end payment cycle, including batching invoices, managing EFTs and wire transfers, and issuing cheques to ensure all vendors are paid accurately and on schedule
  • Vendor Relations & Compliance: Oversee the onboarding of new suppliers by completing credit applications and performing regular reconciliations of monthly supplier statements to maintain account integrity
  • Financial Documentation & Posting: Ensure all approved invoices and payments are posted daily to the ledger while maintaining a meticulously organized digital and physical filing system for audit readiness
  • Treasury & Administrative Support: Manage the secure deposit of customer payments

Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically within an Accounts Payable or full-cycle accounting
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience navigating various ERP or accounting software systems, including the use of Remote Deposit Capture tools
  • Exceptional mathematical accuracy and data entry skills, combined with a proven ability to handle sensitive financial information with total confidentiality
