Accounting Manager

• Manage a team responsible for aspects of the month-end close process related to sales and inventory reserves, and review month-end closing activities such as balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
• Work directly with the FP&A team to forecast and budget the income statement impact of sales and inventory reserves
• Ensure that all systems changes and/or modifications made to applications conform to departmental processing and control requirements
• Work independently on special projects and their impact to the Company including moderate-to-complex technical accounting transactions and implementation of new systems
• Produce meaningful and insightful analysis using data from financial systems to assist peers to understand the business problem presented
• Coordinate and assist with external auditors

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5-8 years of progressive industry, or public accounting experience with CPA/MBA preferred
• Hands-on experience with ERP Systems (Oracle, preferred) and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Aptitude for learning new systems
• Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills
• Comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong managerial and organizational skills are essential
• Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining upward communication
