Job Description:

Accounting Manager position at Augustine a Luxury Collection Hotel Prague, supporting day-to-day execution of general ledger processes, performing accounting functions in account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting and discrepancy resolution for a luxury hospitality brand.

Job Responsibility:

Supports day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes
Performs account balancing and ledger reconciliation
Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects
Complies with Federal and State laws applying to fraud and collection procedures
Generates accurate and timely reports and presentations
Analyzes information and evaluates results to solve problems
Balances credit card ledgers
Verifies contracts for groups and performs credit reference checks
Monitors all applicable taxes ensuring they are current and collected
Maintains strong accounting and operational control environment
Completes period end functions
Provides direction on accounting and budgeting policies
Leads and motivates accounting teams
Manages quality process in customer service and employee satisfaction
Supports development, mentoring and training of employees

Requirements:

4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major
OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Finance and Accounting or related major with 2 years experience in finance and accounting
Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
Proficiency with financial spreadsheets and computer systems
Understanding of Federal and State laws applying to fraud and collection procedures
Experience with account balancing and ledger reconciliation
Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose solutions
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Leadership and team management capabilities
Cultural diversity management skills

Nice to have:

EU Passport holder
Experience in hospitality industry
Knowledge of luxury hotel operations
Multilingual capabilities
Previous experience with Marriott systems
