Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join our team in Carrollton, Texas. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support for accounts payable and general accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to key operational tasks while collaborating with multiple departments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Route invoices for approval and follow up on any pending authorizations
  • Maintain organized vendor records and assist with the collection of W-9 forms and preparation for year-end reporting
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing discrepancies promptly
  • Support account reconciliations for credit cards and balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries
  • Keep both digital and physical filing systems well-maintained and easily accessible
  • Prepare documentation and supporting schedules for audits as required
  • Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance and timely reimbursement
  • Facilitate communication between vendors and internal teams to address inquiries and resolve issues
  • Provide assistance with collections, report preparation, and other ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fundamental accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other standard office software
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally

Nice to have:

  • Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage is preferred
  • Background in construction, service, or manufacturing industries is a plus
  • Knowledge of month-end processes and basic accounting workflows is advantageous
