Accounting Clerk

• Process cash receipts, including coding and batching funds accurately
• Monitor daily bank account activities and provide details on incoming wires for gift entries
• Input accounts payable invoices into accounting software systems
• Prepare journal entries to ensure accurate financial records
• Update fee schedules and allocation pools related to specific funds
• Generate monthly reports, including operating expense budgets and ad hoc fund reports
• Reconcile gifts and grants across multiple databases to maintain consistency
• Act as a backup for accounts payable processing and grant disbursement functions
• Support donor relations by assisting with gift recording and quarterly fund statements
• Assist in recordkeeping and reporting for external grant compliance

• Strong communication and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work cooperatively with team members
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping functions
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance is preferred
• Reliable work-from-home setup with stable internet connection
• Ability to occasionally lift light loads and navigate office spaces

Familiarity with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge, or NPact Foundation Cloud is a plus
