We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Vernon Hills, Illinois. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth financial operations, including handling accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and managing intercompany transactions. Job Responsibility:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
Prepare daily sales invoices and ensure timely application of customer payments
Handle intercompany billing and related financial documentation
Perform clerical tasks to support accounting operations
Utilize intermediate Microsoft Excel skills to work with pre-configured modules
Assist with coding invoices and ensuring proper reconciliation of accounts
Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate financial records
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
Support the team in resolving discrepancies and addressing inquiries related to billing
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with pre-set modules
Strong understanding of intercompany transactions and billing procedures
Ability to manage customer invoicing and payment applications with accuracy
Familiarity with coding invoices and performing bank reconciliations
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Detail-oriented approach to managing financial records
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
