Responsible for proactively soliciting and managing group/catering-related opportunities at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel. Achieves personal and team revenue goals while ensuring proper service delivery and driving customer loyalty through service excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Proactively solicit and manage group/catering-related opportunities
Manage group/catering opportunities not handled by Event Booking Center
Actively up-sell each business opportunity to maximize revenue
Achieve personal and team related revenue goals
Ensure proper turnover of business for service delivery
Drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence
Provide service to grow share of account
Identify new group/catering business
Understand overall market conditions
Close best opportunities for property
Monitor same day selling procedures
Understand property's primary target customer
Respond to incoming group/catering opportunities
Execute operational aspects of business booked
Support company's service and relationship strategy
Execute company's Customer Service Standards
Provide excellent customer service
Partner with Event Management and Operations
Obtain guest feedback on product quality
Attend pre- and post-convention meetings
Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels
Build and strengthen customer relationships
Develop community relationships
Manage relationships with key stakeholders
Utilize intranet for resources
Conduct site inspections
Create contracts
Participate in daily service basics
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
2 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
Understanding of market competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand
Negotiating skills and creative selling abilities
Ability to use sales resources and administrative/support staff effectively
