We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accommodation Officer to join a local authority service in North West London, supporting the delivery and management of temporary and emergency accommodation for homeless households. This role requires strong experience working with landlords and accommodation providers, alongside hands-on housing management responsibilities.
Job Responsibility:
Work with landlords and accommodation providers to procure all types of accommodation for homeless households
Contract manage accommodation providers to ensure service delivery standards are met
Carry out property inspections once accommodation is occupied, including emergency accommodation, ensuring properties continue to meet required standards
Provide a full housing management service for accommodation leased to the council
Manage rent collection and address housing management issues as they arise
Maintain accurate records and case notes in line with council policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues efficiently
Requirements:
Proven experience in temporary accommodation / accommodation procurement or housing management
Must have experience working in a local authority or council
Strong knowledge of property standards and contract management
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
