We are looking for a passionate Accessibility Designer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you won't just be "checking boxes" for compliance; you’ll be a champion for inclusive design, ensuring our digital experiences are usable, delightful, and equitable for everyone—regardless of ability.
Job Responsibility:
Design Reviews & Audits: Evaluate wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA compliance
Annotation & Documentation: Create detailed accessibility hand-off specs for developers (e.g., focus order, heading levels, ARIA labels, and alt-text)
Inclusive Prototyping: Build and test prototypes that account for screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and high-contrast modes
Collaboration: Work closely with Product Designers to bake accessibility into the UI/UX process from day one, rather than "bolting it on" at the end
Advocacy: Conduct internal workshops or "office hours" to educate the broader team on inclusive design patterns
Requirements:
3+ years in UX/UI design with a heavy focus on digital accessibility
Deep understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines and Section 508 standards
Proficiency in Figma (and accessibility plugins like Stark or Adee), as well as experience with assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver)
A strong portfolio demonstrating how you’ve solved complex accessibility challenges in real-world products
The ability to explain technical accessibility requirements to non-technical stakeholders with empathy and clarity
What we offer:
medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance
