Job Description:

The Early College High School program at Aims Community College is a partnership with Greeley District 6. The Early College High School program gives high school students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while subsequently earning an Associate of Arts degree. Occasional travel may be required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teaches assigned seminar classes
  • Creates and maintains a graded curriculum for classes that include brief assignments
  • Teaches lessons on College 101 skills, study skills, and soft skills
  • Monitors assigned seminar classes with the majority of class dedicated to structured study time
  • Communicate and collaborate with counselors, AIMS and D6 staff and faculty, and tutors to provide additional support for students
  • Maintain ongoing communication with students to provide necessary support for their classes
  • Monitors student academic performance and works one-on-one and with groups to create and support academic goals
  • Attend meetings and professional development opportunities at ECA and Aims

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
  • Evidence of ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
  • 9-12 Secondary teaching experience
  • College teaching experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience with concurrent enrollment or dual enrollment programs
  • Experience using technology in the classroom, or teaching online
