As a 2nd Engineer, you will serve as a role model, responsible for performing engine watch operations. You’ll be responsible for controlling and maintaining machineries, updating and controlling the planned maintenance system (PMS) and ensuring safety standards.
Job Responsibility:
Perform engine watch operations
Control and maintain machineries
Update and control the planned maintenance system (PMS)
Ensure safety standards
Carry out watch according to official standards (6 hours watchkeeping shift)
Oversee maintenance and checks according to PMS for designated tasks in cooperation with the Senior Engineer of the watch
Report all relevant changes and information to the SEOOW
Guide colleagues in their professional development, following trainings and safety protocols
Cultivate a supportive work environment and motivate team to achieve excellent results
Familiarize and act accordingly with the latest Health, Environmental, Safety and Security (HESS) national, international and company rules and regulations
Create a welcoming and secure environment where everyone feels comfortable and respected
Requirements:
Holder of national second engineer certificate of competency (COC III/2 unlimited) as per STCW regulations
At least one year of experience as a watchkeeping Engineer on a cruise vessel or 2nd Engineer on different kinds
B2 spoken level of English
Good communication skills
Curious, organized and determined person with experience in people management
