Job Description:

Prepare and cook food while adhering to quality, safety, and professional standards at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. Ensure a high level of cleanliness, cooperation, and guest satisfaction as part of a global team.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
Ensure food is cooked to appropriate temperatures
Monitor food quality while preparing food
Set up and break down work station
Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain positive working relationships
Listen and respond appropriately to concerns of others
Adhere to quality expectations and standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
No supervisory experience
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
Ability to speak with others using clear and professional language
Adherence to safety and security policies.
