Jobbeschreibung:

As a Zugverkehrssteuerer you work in the signal box. From there you navigate rail traffic and thus ensure safe, punctual and smooth train operations. This is a career change opportunity with training provided in full-time (39 hours/week) consisting of theoretical and practical training sections.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Control rail traffic from signal box using levers, push buttons and rotary switches
Set routes (track, switches, signals) for trains and ensure safe departure
Monitor operations in stations
Communicate and coordinate with colleagues in signal box, locomotive drivers and control centers

Anforderungen:

Successfully completed vocational training (e.g., retail salesperson, restaurant specialist, bakery salesperson, or office clerk)
Basic PC skills
Ability to remain calm and maintain overview in demanding situations
Team skills and willingness to take responsibility
Willingness to work shifts (night, weekend, holiday work) and flexibility
