Jobbeschreibung:

As a Weichenwärter (switch attendant), you work in the signal box. From there you navigate train traffic and thus ensure safe, punctual and smooth train operations. This is a career change opportunity with retraining provided.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Control train traffic in small or medium signal boxes via levers, push buttons and rotary switches
Responsible for route checking, track clearance notification, clearance checking and train observation including rule-compliant documentation of operational actions
Communication and coordination with colleagues in the signal box, train traffic controllers and control centers
Control and monitoring as well as regulation of rail tracks and blocking of tracks in case of disruptions

Anforderungen:

Minimum (qualified) secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss)
No completed vocational training required
Ability to remain calm and maintain overview in demanding situations
Basic mobility readiness in residential area
Team skills and willingness to take responsibility
Willingness to work shifts (night, weekend, holiday work) and flexibility
