Verantwortlichkeiten:

Plan, optimize, and coordinate the use of biofuels (HVO, FAME, Ethanol, etc.) within the European fuel station network
Ensure compliance with greenhouse gas reduction quotas (§ 37a ff. BImSchG) as per national and EU regulations (e.g., RED II)
Implement regulatory requirements (RED II/RET-2) and monitor adherence
Forecast and manage measures to achieve German greenhouse gas reduction targets in the transportation sector
Monitor market and regulatory developments (DEHSt, EU ETS, nEHS/EU ETS 2) and derive recommendations
Support annual sales and demand planning and collaborate with the Fuels Director during the RFP process
Analyze supply conditions in collaboration with Global Fuels and support the B2B business with relevant data and market analyses
Collaborate closely with colleagues in supply chain, sustainability, legal, and finance
Prepare regular reports on emission savings, quota progress, and optimization potential
Support physical optimization of biofuels and greenhouse gas quota rights.

Anforderungen:

Completed studies in economics, engineering, or environmental sciences or comparable qualification
Several years of experience in biofuel, energy, or commodity trading with a focus on quota trading and compliance
Passion for sustainable energy and emission reduction
High commitment to regulatory developments and their implementation
Enjoyment of complex calculations and analytical challenges
Strong numeracy and analytical thinking
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
Team player and excellent communication skills
Fluent in German and English.
